Through the OATECA Every Choice Counts Transition Add-On, you can introduce adult learners into society by preparing them for full-time employment after receiving their High School Diploma. 
  • 4-Year curriculum covering 3 strands; Self-Advocacy, Life Skills, and Job Skills.
  • Result oriented process based on learner's needs, strengths, preferences, and interests across 13 Domains and 26 topics. 
  • Over 100 skills to equip our Super Heroes to lead independent and fulfilling lives at home and in the society.

Science Made Fun

Educators are not always provided text books in Science aimed at the students in a Functional Skills classroom. The Science Kit Add-On equips educators with engaging and purposeful science activities:

  • 12 Elementary and 12 Secondary functional skills covering Physical, Life, and Earth & Space Sciences.
  • Scientific Investigations that engage students through a scope-&-sequence process towards mastery.
  • A kit with countless ready-made manipulatives, materials, and five consumable Student Workbooks. 
  • ​Additional workbooks can be purchased.

Bring to life history, geography, climate, and economics in your Functional Skills Classroom:

From Emergent to Conventional Writer

The Writing Add-On aims to help individuals with severe disabilities meet writing standards of the alternate assessment. It guides educators in:
  • Identifying performing levels (i.e. 14 levels from emergent to conventional writer) of their students.
  • Assessing progress of functional writing skills with visual prompts and writing activities.
  • Executing up to 12 functional writing skills activities filled with ready-made manipulatives.
