Selecting and implementing AT requires more than a simple assessment to ensure a “match” between the student’s abilities and the features of a device. The chosen AT must be useful in the student’s environment to perform needed tasks. OATECA can assist IEP teams in addressing the AT needs through on-site evaluations. We are both RESNA Certified Assistive Technology Professionals, with a combined experience in education of over 50 years. We have the privilege of teaching students with special needs and now working with teachers to continue nurturing individuals with all levels of disabilities. |
